Yeah TRP!!! A friend played me that Ramases disk a few years ago and it blew my teeny mind! Still listen to it pretty frequently

Might be wandering off the track a bit but this album got ample play in the early 90s while we were rolling up characters...



Now fully off track, we'd catch these guys at The Old Duke in Bristol whenever they were in town. I hope you can forgive me tho' - it's BABA YAGA's BALL! Pure awesome in the right setting (dark, small harbourside pub with Somerset ciders on tap):

How did you happen to stumble across this? I feckin' love it. The attention to composition is amazing; it's not just another droll 10-minute jazz-rock fusion thing. I love it. :shock:

I really like this early Mark Boland album. It is less ... carnavalesque ... than his later work.

I can't confirm if Matthew J Stanham's dad was in the band at that time.
