K&Ks Anthology of Terror (Halloween short story competit

I was wondering if there would be any interest on this board for a submission contest of short horror stories (to be completed a week before Halloween). Once collected we vote on our favorite (only rule you can't vote for yourself).

If say...10-20 of us agreed to do this (and stories were limited in size to keep them short) we'd have enough for a nice little K&K horror anthology (we could give away as a PDF or charge a small amount for and give profits to the site (and maybe to buy a prize for the winner).

Well, let me know if you'd be interested (I'll give it a week to see if we have enough takers) Also if your interested in doing some artwork (interior or exterior), please say so, this sort of thing wouldn't need much I don't think (so it shouldn't put anyone out). I will be happy to contribute some art, oh and we need someone to do layout for the PDF (probably just in word)

Lets give it a week to see if we get at least 10 contributors (though the more the better the contest will be).

-PS don't be a pussy, if you think your writing sucks so what, it'll look good compared to mine, and who'll care in 100 years, right?

Hey, get back to work on DoomWatch! :)

Why not, I'll contribute a bundle of incoherent ramblings.

I'll give 'er a shot. The story will be awful, but the spelling may be adequate!

Speaking of stories, will anyone else be partaking in the National Novel Writing Month endeavour this year?

I've got a couple of Gamma World-inspired short pieces that tend towards horror. Does that fit with what you want, or are you looking for straight horror??

That would be perfect Kellri. I was actually thinking it would be cool for some submissions to run the gambet in settings and time periods (for intance, sci-fi horror or fantasy horror). Would make for a more interesting read I think (though I find those far more tricky to pull off then modern setting which is easier for the reader to "step into").

*bump?*

My short story began to rhyme unexpectedly, so I'm turning it into a poem. :?
