I could use some of that right now, given the day I had. Did you know it takes about 20 minutes to saw through a brass bolt with a hacksaw blade.

I'm watching Dr. Who now. Specifically, The Android Invasion, the last U.N.I.T. story, I believe.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I've got all kinds of crap going on (esp. at work). I was speaking strictly in terms of rpg-related creative or playing activity.

Coincidentally, I was also watching Dr. Who today -- the "Lost in Time" collection of fragmentary stories from the First Doctor: 2 parts of "The Crusades" (with audio-only for the 2 missing parts), 3 parts of "The Daleks' Master Plan" (which didn't make a lick of sense out of context, except to make me realize that the full 12-part serial was probably pretty awesome), and 1 part of "The Celestial Toymaker" (which mostly made me wonder whose bright idea it was to give the Doctor a companion named "Dodo").

Lots of stuff at home. Took my wife to dinner (Banzai Sushi, downtown) and to see a play this evening (The Man Who Came to Dinner). Some home improvement projects (never-ending -- ugh), and the usual stuff with the kids (help with homework, break up fights, etc -- I have four children).

Busy with work, too: some improvements to our main software, and trying to finish a major project for a new roll-out.

On the gaming front, I've got two Knockspell articles I need to finish and get to you, and I'm also working on the Cromlech Tor stuff. (I took my wife down to Hobbit Cafe and Nan's, the other day -- she liked Nan's, and bought some boardgames and minis. She looked at the Gamescience dice, but they didn't have a color she liked.)

1. Forced to DM a damned 3.5 campaign, trying to come up with something for them to do.

2. Slowly killing myself with sugar. It's fun. I especially like vomiting afterward 'cause it burns more.

3. Watching the roast of the cable guy. Don't know why. The remote is right here, but I'm still watching it. Must be all the sugar. Gary Busey is sure effed up these days!

4. Working on my Norse mythology. Haaaaa hahahahaha! No, really. Haaaaahahahahaaaaa! No, I'm deadly serious. Bah, hahahahahaaa!

5. Been researching into Indo-European language studies. I think next time I buy one of these books, instead of reading it, I'll just have the clerk throw it real hard at my head.

Sounds like there's lots of stuff going on! See? Our style of gaming is very much alive, community based and growing.

I am finally on the verge of DMing a campaign for the first time in 10 years. And, in typical "never rains but pours" fashion, it looks like I may end up with TWO campaigns, one face-to-face and one via Skype or whatever we end up using to do it remotely. Good thing my wife is out of town for a few weeks and I'm not too busy at work right now!!! Now, to find my ancient pad of giant graph paper...

'Ancient Pad of Giant Graph Paper' = Classic style awesomeness. Make sure to put lots of notes and doodles on the giant pad as well. It just completes the experience.

I am in the middle of six writing projects, two pro and four ... well no. Three pro and three for the hell of it.

And prepping for next week's ToEE game - in terrifying 3dimension-vision! (that means "With dwarven forge")

1) Just finished " Game of Thrones" and am now starting on " Clash of Kings".

2) Slowly compiling all my campaign material and getting ready to do some major mapping.

3) Saw a screening of Sasha Baron Cohen's " Bruno" the other day and laughed my ass off.

Just finished wrapping up our network & domain change at work. That was a fun 6 week project.

Gaming-wise, a lot of time has gone into prep for my new Beyond the Mountains of Madness campaign. You wouldn't believe...

Ran an OD&D adventure at CoastCon this weekend. It was less & more successful than last year. This year, instead of 9 players, I had 5, but this year I ran my own adventure which played fantastically (last year it was Caverns of Thracia) . I'll report more later.

I'm also leading a book discussion group on Tracy Lee Simmons' Climbing Parnassus, studying Latin (again), and preparing to teach Latin to some homeschooling moms I know.

But all that is WAAAY off-topic. :D
