Steve Gerber, R.I.P.

Post by rogatny »

Steve Gerber apparently died Sunday at the age of 60. For those who don't know, he was a writer for both comics and cartoons. Among D&D fans, he is probably best known as the creator of/writer for Thundarr the Barbarian and a writer for the D&D Saturday cartoon.

Among comics fans, he's best known as the creator of and principal (read: ONLY) writer for Howard the Duck and principal writer for the classic 70's run of the Man-Thing.

Here's a more detailed obit. http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/ ... i?id=12951
"I woke up in a Soho doorway
A policeman knew my name
He said you can go sleep at home tonight
If you can get up and walk away"

I always like the Thundarr the Barbarian cartoons...
You can't have S-L-A-U-G-H-T-E-R without L-A-U-G-H-T-E-R.
