Plastic fantasy figs

Post by Stonegiant »

Check this LINK out, scroll down until you see the sets with Dwarves, goblins, elves, adventurers, etc. they are 1:72 scale and the price ain't bad either!

Nice way to put together a horde!
I want to hear what you did in the dungeon, not the voting booth. Politics and rules minutia both bore me in my opinion.

Yeah, but soft plastic? The swords are all bendy and misshapen.

The orcs look a bit like bugbears. You could paint them differently to assume different races/species.

I was thinking for wargaming purposes.

So, umm, why is it that in that adventurers pack 11 of the minis look like normal fantasy adventurer-types (some warriors, some wizards, a thief, a couple elves, etc.) but the 12th one is a massive demon-thing with huge ears? :?

Don't just look at the fantasy figs. A lot of the ancient and medieval figs would work for a fantasy game, too.

Because in the original woodgrain pre-Tolkien estate lawsuit OD&D boxed set, a player could conceivably play a Balrog, provided they started out as "young" :D

not sure why it's there but t looks curiously enough like a very big Tunnel and Trolls troll.

These look great, particularly the adventurers (like you said a great way to build a hord). So is this the standard scale for mini's or smaller? And just what are the typical sizes for AD&D minis like Ral Parthas etc?

As far as I am aware, Ral Partha do small (25 mm), medium (28 mm) and large (28+ mm).

I think that most of their early stuff is 25 mm, whilst the more modern products tend to be larger.
