En Garde !

Post by JDJarvis »

Things are certainly looking up for me:

I'm in a production of MacBeth, I go to play with a rapier at one of the rehersals and loved it. after hearing about this my new gamer girlfriend asks me if I'd liek to try fencing.

I actually replied "Fencing? Lemmie get this straight ...my new, smart, buisness woman, slightly younger, practical, former beauty pagent contestant, good with kids, gaming girlfriend wants to know if I'd like to try fencing?"

she said something like "no, i'm serious you don't have to tease me"

of course i made it clear to her the answer was"YES" actually more like "Great googlie mooglie...YES. "

a little while later "maybe we can try Kendo sometime too" .

I should start playing the lottery my luck has certainly improved lately.

Prepare for humiliation!

When a man's wife beats him in a swordfight, his pride takes a major bruising. (You may recognise the voice of experience in this...)

Will not humiliate me at all. When she beats me my heart will swell with pride knowing she is one tough and capable cookie and i'll know she will be able to teach me how to fight well. I've dated women befoe who could kick my ass if they really tried and that was never a cause for shame.

I don't thnk we have to worry about facing each other in a duel unless she rents an apartment in NH.

I live only 1 hr from NH and she can't spend that much money on clothing. :D

That aside I am guessing yours isn't 7 months along.

And here I thought perhaps you've found a copy of GDW's "En Garde" rpg, which may be the 2nd rpg ever published (IIRC).
