New Paizo Poll: Up with Greyhawk

Post by Lance Hawvermale »

So far, 208 votes have been counted for "Favorite Campaign Setting."

Greyhawk: 53
Forgotten Realms: 46
Dark Sun: 24
Mystara: 20
Homebrew: 17
Eberron: 13
And others

So WotC's officially sponsored and supposedly "the next great thing" campaign rates lower among fans than the out-of-print Dark Sun and Mystara.

Just food for thought.

Here is the latest scorecard-

Birthright 0 0%
Council of Wyrms 1 0%
Dark Sun 26 11%
Dragonlance 3 1%
Eberron 13 5%
Forgotten Realms 47 20%
Greyhawk 64 28%
Iron Kingdoms 2 0%
Mystara 20 8%
Planescape 11 4%
Ravenloft 15 6%
Spelljammer 4 1%
Homebrew 17 7%
Other 5 2%
I want to hear what you did in the dungeon, not the voting booth. Politics and rules minutia both bore me in my opinion.

In my curmudgeonly grognardish mind, there should be a pre-85 GH and post-85 GH option. It isn't all the same.

For reference, GH to me consists of:
80 Folio
83 Boxed set
G series
D series
T1-4
WG4, WG5
S1, S3, S4
DMG
with the A and the U series being kinda secondary, and the L and EX series, S2, and the Gord novels being tertiary.

If I can't find enough information and inspiration from that stuff, I need to turn in my DM shield.

Not much love for the big ape here. However, you've piqued my interest, and I'll give it another read.
