OSRIC and the OSRIC Companion's print layout is going fairly well, I think.
For ease of working on the document, I've temporarily stripped out the illustrations (otherwise it's such a memory-hog it's difficult to work with).
I've shrunk everything a bit from the download version -- we're in 9-point font size, slightly smaller line spacing, smaller gap between paragraphs, narrower gap between columns, etc. -- and switched to a crisper version of the font which should work better in print.
With the creatures presently included -- men, humanoids, giants, dragons, demons and devils -- and with no illustrations, the document's checking in at 166 pages. Additional creatures and detailed treasure tables will obviously stretch that further.
Right now, there's no reason why I shouldn't get the whole thing finished by the time I said (I said I'd have a printed version out in March).
If you have material or illustrations that you'd like to submit ready for the first print version of OSRIC, please get it to me in the next couple of weeks.

Stuart, feel free to use whatever illustrations you want of mine for the print version of OSRIC. I have at least 10 more coming for the OSRIC Companion (two of which I'll be posting soon as they are almost finished being inked).

I just want to take a moment to say I dig your art work. It is good to see that there are more artists than I thought out there today that can make a "good old feeling" picture without all the dungeonpunk. Good job.xyanthon wrote:Stuart, feel free to use whatever illustrations you want of mine for the print version of OSRIC. Heh, I just got around to seeing this and wanted to hijack the thread for a moment and say thanks. AD&D was a fantastic outlet for me as a kid and the OSRIC project really revived that for me. I'm just thrilled that I can contribute along with several like minded individuals of such obvious enthusiasm and tallent. This is a most fantastic experience for me (pun intended
)!
