You can talk about "almost" anything here.

Hate to be a naysayer, but it probably won't work. Despite public misconception, petitions rarely ever have an effect on business.

Now, camping outside of WOTC headquarters in +3 Plate Mail, weilding +2 Bastard Swords and +2 Crossbows with silver arrows, and making sure to have some spellcasting friends in the background who have Fireball memorized five times... THAT'LL get their attention!

I agree, unfortunately, but figured a post in support can't hurt anything :D

I've been looking on e-bay at those FFE reprints of Traveller. That's what WotC should do for the old brown books and supplements. Heck, they could reprint a lot of the classic modules in supermodule books.

To me, this is like free money for WotC. They don't have to pay writers or edit materials or anything. Just print 'em and pay the authors a cut.

I'll support a petition for WoTC to sell the 1e/2e rights to another company who will do it justice.

Can you imagine Old School reduexs with the kind of artwork they're working with over there now-a-days? *shudders*

And who are they gonna sell it to? Us old farts who already have all the books, and likely have downloaded (legally or otherwise) all the same material as PDF's? It'll never happen. And in a way, I can't say I would blame them. Whether you (meaning 'we') like the Third Edition junk or not, that is their product nhow, and that includes the historical claims to the TSR versions.

Now, if Wizards were to ever release a nice limited edition, personalized, leather bound, and gold trimmed versions of the PHB, MM, and DMG, with foil stamped lettering, archival papers, and all the bells and whistles (i.e. formatting and illustrations) of the original first printings, with no changes to the rules--even leave all the typos in there--I would drop my credit card there in a heart-beat. $75 bucks a pop? No problem, I'll come up with the cash somehow, from somewhere. (Honey, the kids don't really need new shoes for school do they?)
