I hate going to the doctor

Post by Mythmere »

I think I pulled a groin muscle a couple of days ago, so I've got a doctor's appointment at 2PM. I hate doctors appointments. But if I want to be able to sneeze again without hitting the floor in pain, I've got to go.

*sigh*

Gads. I had a mild one in basic training. Basic training mind you, so I was miserable but determined not to be recycled into junior unit. You can't ignore them, even when you lie down. I feel for ya, dude.

But look at it this way: maybe the doctor will prescribe an opiate based painkiller. You'll still hurt, you just won't care. :D

I am going to an eye doctor tomorrow for an eye exam. I have only had one real eye exam - in 1994! I was in the navy and just used the eye exam to get out of a few hours of work.

Letely I've noticed that my grognardly eyes aren't quite holding up as they did in the old days. I guess since I'm turning 34 in a couple weeks, I might as well get myself some glasses to go with my birthday present to myself - a weekend at MarsCon!

Not a hernia, it's a strain in the muscles of my lower abdominal wall. So I got an anti-inflammatory medicine.

I also got Zyban to help stop smoking. We'll see how that goes. If I start flaming everyone in sight starting a couple of days from now, it means I've started quitting and haven't given in yet.

My quit date is in two days.

Well, that blows. I would have demanded Oxycontin.

:D But they raised the sales tax on cigarettes by a dollar a pack on Jan 1, so that we don't have to close all the schools.

That's a stupid thing to put an education-based tax on... raise the price and guarantee people will quit thus lowering the tax income.

Good to hear! Quiting smoking is the second hardest thing I've ever done - and it took three tries. Cold turkey was the only way for me.

Good luck, Mythmere!

Our legislature in Texas is guilty of criminal negligence when it comes to handling schools. Just crazy.

Yes, but they make homeschooling very easy. You should see the hs'ing laws up here in PA. :x
