So I was looking on Ebay, and I came across a DVD called "40 Years of X-Men." The description said it was a collection of every issue of Uncanny X-Men from the very first issue in the 1960s all the way up to August 2005. Marvel had released a similar compilation for Spider-Man, so I wondered if this was legit.
Long story short, it is!
Took them awhile--I've been waiting for Marvel to do something like this. I just hope the rest of the comics industry follows their example, then maybe it'll be possible for joe non-collectors like myself to enjoy these things!
As soon as I have the money I'll be picking this up.
I know, some of you are saying you'd rather read it in print than on a computer screen... but nothing beats having 400+ complete issues for $50.
For X-Men/Marvel fans

That sounds pretty sweet. My wife is already dismayed at my RPG collection. She hasn't even seen my comic collection (6000+) at my parents house. I think I'll have to check this out.

This is the reason I collect cartoons now... I'm trying to do a webcomic, and I want to be exposed to as many different styles and types of stories as possible as to not limit my sources of inspiration.xyanthon wrote:Hehe, yeah. It is a nice collection especially for those of us who have lost parts of our collection over the years

1. Two plus two is four.thedungeondelver wrote:Yeah, but you like japanese cartoons, so what do YOU know?
2. Gigantor counts as an Iron Golem.
3. Never, ever talk about a woman's looks--she may have "Fireball" memorized five times and be perfectly willing to use all five memorizations just to kill you and decimate the town while she's at it.
4. I easily prefer this over this, this over this, and this over this.
5. Always convert to Buddhism before becoming a world-conquering maniac, that way even if you die you get to come back to life, more powerful than ever (your alignment will probably change too, but you can work that out with your DM). Make sure you do this before you even THINK of conquering Japan, because their heroes have all already died once, and its never stopped them.
That answer your question? ^__^
