Started a non-gaming blog

Post by Mythmere »

I've started a blog, like pretty much everyone else I know. :D

It's not about gaming, it's about civilization - I'm not partial to narrow topics. I'm not partial to small goals, either: my goal is to put together an active and working program for helping enlightenment civilization to adapt and expand in a transitional moment in history.

Hell, if I can wangle the 1e rules into an open-source format without WOTC's objection, I can do something less difficult, like saving civilization. :D

Anyway, PLEASE stop by and comment. Right now, there's only the one introductory post, so the full scope of the project isn't at all clear yet. That's going to take a lot of writing, additional research on my part, and INPUT FROM OTHERS. If the goal sounds interesting, and if you believe I might just be crazy enough to pull off something big, please stop by.

Over time, if I seem to be gaining momentum, I'll add a website and a messageboard ... but I need to get my ducks in a row, first.

The blog is here: http://projectcivilization.blogspot.com/

Ask questions, object to the premises, cheer me on, or whatever.

The urge to discuss politics is strong, here, as we all know ...

Damn it, man! There's no time for saving the world now! You have a module to write!

Save the world in January.

Already been. Yup, it's ambitious.

Add this gentleman's books to your reference library, and discover why a culture lacking in spiritual and moral hierarchies is potentially unhealthy.

Another entry posted. Don't worry, this is the last time I'll keep mentioning an OT blog. Just trying to get a couple of comments started.

It's fine! I'm not familiar with the book you mentioned, but I'm going to look it up and then answer. It's not every day someone calls the value of democracy itself into question. :D
