Weirdly, a ton of rock stars died at age 27, including Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones (Rolling Stones), Robert Johnson, Chris Bell (Big Star), Pete Ham (Badfinger), D. Boon (Minutemen), Pigpen (Grateful Dead), etc.
