Hi all,
We have a website up now. It's a simple straightforward website for the time being, but it is clean and easy to navigate.
www.goblinoidgames.com will direct you to the proper site.

Couldn't be easier to navigate, and I like the character sheet look.

Very nice site. I wish all gaming sites were so clean and easy to use. Good layout.

Personal opinion warning
9/10 for look and feel. I loved it. (Would be 10/10 if it weren't for the Times New Roman -- I think it's the second worst font for web content after Comic Sans. But that's only a tiny niggle.)
4/10 for content; it's a little light on content for the moment, and it has "copywritable" for "copyrightable" -- I'm afraid publishers really do need to get this kind of thing right. But I realise it's still under construction!
Tasters for your modules would be a good idea. Also, if you're trying to attract contributors to write or draw for Goblinoid Games (which you may not be), perhaps some submissions guidelines and details of fees/royalties payable?
6/10 for disabled-friendliness. Clearly not written with text readers in mind, but simple enough to work well with them for the moment.
Specifically for the header: Right now, you've got:
Code: Select all
<html>
<head>
<title>Goblinoid Games</title>
</head>
I suggest:
Code: Select all
<html lang="en">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<meta name="author" content="Daniel Proctor">
<meta name="keywords" content="Goblinoid Games, OSRIC, roleplay, RPG, adventures, fantasy, monsters, RPG, role play, old school">
<meta name="description" content="Fantasy roleplay material for the OSRIC RPG and compatible adventures">
<title>Goblinoid Games</title>
</head>

Thanks for the heads up on the typo. My wife tells me Americans can't spell (she's Indian).
I followed your advice and replaced my headers with the one you provided. Also, I changed the font from Times New Roman to Arial.
I'll try to get samples up soon. As far as submission guidelines, I'm still thinking about that. I'm not sure if I am at a point where I want to open things up for submissions outside of those I already have (though I would consider something if someone came to me otherwise). However, I could mention that I am not actively looking for submissions at the moment.
Thanks for the advice!
Dan

Thanks Joe! I appreciate the encouragement but I actually really like your site. I really, really like your logos as well.
