Count Dracula (1977) (TV)

This is by far the best version of Dracula I've seen. Its a 3 part British TV mini-series, and it keeps pretty close to the book. I Attempted to track it down for sale, but so far no luck. PBS used to rerun it every year, but I haven't seen it in a good 15 years.
Anyhow, its worth checking out.

I've gotta go with Bela Lugosi and the 1931 version, even though its not true to Bram Stoker's masterpiece. Lugosi set the tone for the dracula character that many have attempted to emulate, but not very successfully.

I rather liked Frank Langella in the 1979 film production myself.

Thumbs up for the Louis Jordan version. Haven't seen it since the original broadcast, but still think it's the 2nd best, right after Lugosi's Drac-oo-la.

Carlos Vilarrias for me, from Universal's Spanish Language Edition of Dracula...shot consecutively during the Lugosi version(no subbing/dubbing tech back then) I personally think Carlos holds his own with Lugosi. The rest of the Latin cast completely blows their English-speaking counterparts out the the water-also, the cinematography and direction are far more fluid and energetic. The sultry Lupita Tovar as the damsel in distress doesn't hurt either.
