Of course it is! The cold stare of death is everpresent in such a dread place!

Updates:

We're up to 24 pre-orders.

I'm still hoping for a December release, but there is still work to do. 64 pages seemed a much better idea in August. ;)

lotfprpg.com may be down soon. I'm attempting to move the domain name to the same people that actually host the site, but of course there are complications in getting the old people to release it. 11/27 is when my domain currently expires, so if there are problems it will be around that time. It will be temporary. Anybody that has pre-ordered, don't panic if you check up and see that the site is gone.

First piece of artwork has been completed:

Yer such a tease.

Get crackin', man. You've got me curious about your nasty little goblinses, and am looking forward to reading more about the Knights of Science.

I notice the preview for Insect credits Dan Berger for the artwork. Is he doing the cover, or has he taken over the interior art from Diana Davidsson?

ahhh, I guess I need to look at that again. Berger's just done the cover, Davidsson is handling all of the non-map interior art.

edit: Ah, I see what happened. The preview pdf was put together and uploaded a few days before the announcement of Davidsson being on board.

Yes, there is news!

The bad news: I was a little ambitious in scheduling. So we're not going to hit December as originally planned. The bulk of the writing is done, it's just the details - for feeling and atmosphere - beyond the bare descriptions that are taking time to get right. I've thrown out more than I've kept on the project...

When December was getting close, I had to make a decision... I believe if I kept the stuff I wasn't happy with and filled the pages with stuff to release an "OK" product, it wouldn't matter that it came out when promised. If I release the home-run piece of AWESOME that was always my vision for this thing, nobody is going to care that it was a little bit late.

I've got two and a half weeks break from my studies that I'm going to use to finish the writing. Even bought my wife another season of 24 for Christmas to keep her out of my hair for a good while. ;) Then it still needs more playtesting top to bottom, then proofreading. Layout and printing won't add any appreciable time since that part of the presentation was always intended to be bare-bones. I'm still crossing my fingers for a late January release, but mid-February is looking more realistic.

One thing's for damn sure, my next writing project or two of this type are going to be short adventures in a series called PAMPHLETS OF ADVENTURE. heh.

Pre-orderers got an email this morning explaining the delays. Still not out, but it is happening.

Jim,

Are you still taking preorders then? I meant to order before Christmas, but got bogged down in RL. If you are still taking orders, I'll place mine in the next day or two.

Thanks,

Definitely still taking orders. Everything is still a go, just finishing later than I'd planned.
