I bought it for my brother's birthday (because I wanted it for myself

), and actually leafed through it today when I visited him. Curiously, it is very AD&D. Most of the monsters are from the MM1 (with some MM2 additions), and the art is pleasingly non-contemporary, with an honest charm. I don't care too much about modern D&D, but this one product surprised me in a very good way.
