Need help with coming up with a name for a city on an Isle of Sorcery in a fantasy world which is similar to 10th century Anglo-Saxons in culture and technology.

Camor
Hawold
Hadun
Gracot
Galeah
Saburh
Padun
Haford
Tadun
Waburh
This is a remarkably clever name, and I'm really impressed with how apt it is. I hear echoes of a Tolkein reference (Gald = Galadriel) and a Lovecraft reference (Dun = Dunwich). The three syllables bring to mind mystical places the Saxons would have heard about, Avalon, Tintagel, Camelot. Go with this.Philotomy Jurament wrote:Galdredun

It's probably worth noting that "galdr" and its variants refer to magic/sorcery.
