I wish I could draw maps like this

I really wish I had the skill and the attention span to be able to draw maps like this. Especially the mountains and elevations. I just can't seem to work out the angled view of the mountains.

Probably a combination of hand drawn and zipatone. I recognize the half tone and the water pattern. I still have a old graphic design catalog from college (circa 1985) that I will scan to show you what I mean.
The shaded relief is handdrawn and impressive.
My dream technique is to reliably draw hachture for relief.
