If you have a badge, you should be able to register the event pretty easily. Doug assigns the room on the back end.

Very nice of you to say, man. Well, The Strange Tale of Crystal Point was the working title for what became The Lost Treasure of Atlantis, so they're not just similar - they are identical.

Here's The Brazen Bull description: In the desert port town of Xambaala, a shifty-eyed Pict named Motios approaches your party, scratching at imaginary insects on neck. He looks left and right, then suddenly whispers, "I just escaped from a murderous cult in possession of countless gems and ancient coins - I'll take you there if you give me black lotus!"

I didn't have to. The social is one of those events that's always been at Nortex. Just register it, and if they don't assign a ballrom then we can contact them.

Just remember not to list it as a game event, but a social. IIRC they created a new category last year so that it wouldn't pop up for people who don't know what K&KA is, but are searching events for "AD&D" or "OD&D".

If the event type, title and description makes it clear that you are registering the K&KA Social, then he will almost certainly assign it a boardroom (if there are any left at this point) because we can't have all that homebrew beer out in a public area (and he knows this).

Ah, darn it, too late.

I didn't see a "social" category as available, although I did look pretty hard. In the end I went with OD&D.

Hopefully, since Doug knows us and this is a long standing event he can change that when he assigns us a board room.

I will keep track and contact him as per necessary.

I e-mailed Doug about the Social several days ago, but I still haven't heard anything back. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

Tetramorph, I'm planning to sign up for your Thursday game, but I'm too cheap to sign up early. Hopefully I won't forget about registration day like last year and end up locked out of everything!

Just got an e-mail from Doug that the Social will be posted soon.
