Those of you keeping up with new old-school gaming products must surely know of the excellent stuff put out by Scot Hoover. Scot is a good buddy and a decent dude, but has been laid low by a stroke. He lives in Vietnam currently, and doesn't have health care coverage. He's got a long road to recovery ahead of him, so if you could, please consider donating to a Gofundme set up to help get him some cash for treatment started.

Thanks all.

I would like to thank everyone for the fantastic response to my go fundme campaign I'm nearly at the 50% mark after only 12 hours and and now a trending campaign on the site. I feel tremendously blessed and very happy for the first time since the stroke on Monday.I would like to thank everyone for the fantastic response to my gofundme campaign I'm nearly at the 50% mark after only 12 hours and and now a trending campaign on the site. I posted in mastodon where some other OSR people hang out too. When I get home from traveling and in a secure connection, will chip in.
Get better!

Done. The man’s free work dwarfs in value everything I’ve bought. Time to repay him.

After a second stroke he was treated and discharged from the hospital.
Kinda been a roller coaster for him and his kids. Here's hoping things get better from here on in.

What a nightmare, but maybe this can mark the transition to recovery. Please keep any news flowing where appropriate. Thanks Ron!

A second or extended stay at the hospital will have increased his bill. Just doubled my donation.

Jeez! This is terrible. Anyone have a line on the healthcare situation over in Viet Nam?

NOtt good. I have a decent english-speakjing neurologist, DR.Tu. Ths ospital was a bit cramped to say the least, I didn' get into a room until the seoond night. The first I spent on a stainless steel gurney in the hallway The next night I got an upgrade to a real bed in a room with 16 other paople The upside is that your family is going to be there with you...otherwise you don't eat
