Henry began to DM us through his newest dungeon yesterday!---and we're having a good time. The first level characters are:

- Ethan: half-orc fighter named Rragäs
- Heather: human female cleric named Victoria
- me: dwarf fighter/thief named Vortigern Erasmus Khâläk VI
- Henry: human MU named Pachin Triceratops

This is what we've explored thus far:

We've encountered/found:
- a large group of goblins cooking meat at a fire (they didn't' notice us, so we backed away and explored in a different direction)
- a lucky penny under the table in an otherwise deserted room (+1 on saves)
- a teleporter = my dwarf got separated from the rest of the party for ~6-8 turns; the teleporter is dead for 4 turns after use, which I found out after meeting the gnomes below
- a tripwire hall (spear-firing trap) with 4 magical torches (they light/douse by mental command, and aren't consumed in use); in alcoves off the hall were statues of our family cats, Percy and Jasper
- a large group of 18 gnomes (befriended by my dwarf after some good reaction rolls)
- 1 orc who ambushed us from behind a door (the rest of the party found this while my dwarf was still teleported away in gnomeville)
- an exploding proximity mine (the rest of the party found this while my dwarf was still teleported away in gnomeville)
- 3 goblins, who we a good reaction roll for via Ethan's half-orc fighter (despite having a dwarf in the party = -20% reaction adjustment), so they left us alone
- a large lake cavern with a shark in it (we killed that through some lucky hits), 2 skeletons on the shore (turned by the cleric); no boat, and with the water at least 6' deep, we were about to abandon the room when Ethan found a ledge running along the south wall that lead to the island; there we found ~520 gp, a broadsword +1 (that shrinks down into an orange-flavored Tic Tac candy), a magical helm (allows extended breathing underwater/reduces drowning chances = we sold it for 2000gp)
- a group of 3 gnomes (probably lost/separated from the larger group), seemingly driven insane by some treasure that they found = this is where we left off, with them attacking us (and knocking the MU down to -9 with 2 natural 20s attacks in the first round of battle---fortunately we lost initiative, so the cleric was able to CLW him!)

You trained him well, Allan! When’s he getting a K&KA account?

I see the green liquid sleep spell in that first picture. :)
Very nice! Next Monday is game day for the girls and I... and maybe the oldest's boyfriend...

I'm predicting a horrible, horrible fate. Will not be pretty.

Ethan and I are definitely enjoying mapping the level, and Henry just unfolded it on us before lunch, so it's 11x17 apparently ;)

Thanks Chris, I'll pass that along---he'll like the Vader quote ;)

LOL. Not for awhile yet, Donovan---he's still only 9 and we're generally not even PG-13 here. I think GaryCon will come first, perhaps!

Yes, they're both still under the weather (Ethan getting better, but Henry starting to succumb now, it seems :( ), so the potions have been in heavy rotation this week....

LOL, it likely won't be that bad Paul---it's at least partly-inspired by the various shape-changing magic items from Rick Riordan's books. This one just happens to be one of Henry's favorite candies, so it's edible, but perpetually reforms 1 turn later even after being eaten (Wonka's Ever-Full Tic Tac?).

Really cool! Both the dungeon map and the encounters you describe sound fun. :)
