Guys,
I'm looking for the best pre-made AD&D character sheet. By "best" I mean most readable, easiest to fill in, most complete in terms of player information, etc. It has to be an overlap of all of those, though. Like, the Armory character sheets have a lot of information, but they're difficult to fill in. The goldenrod sheets from TSR are somewhat easier to fill in and do have a lot of information but they're really not readable.
When I run gaming events I like to put as much information on the character sheet as possible for the players, to minimize the amount of stop-time.
I made some by hand that work okay, but any suggestions would be appreciated.
Best AD&D character sheet?

Re: Best AD&D character sheet?
I won't claim these are the best, but they work for me.
A sheet made from a couple others that I found online (DF, I think), peeled apart, put back together, and added form-fillable fields. It does not auto-calculate, and I'm not interested in adding that in (but if someone is good at it......). When you preview it, the header will look like gobblygook, and you'll need the Quentin Caps font, or the header will still look like gobblygook, After you download it. You should be able to find the Quentin Caps font for free:

Here is a spellbook sheet I created in word, converted to pdf, then added fill in forms:

Re: Best AD&D character sheet?
For convention play, I'd like to re/create a character sheet that mashes up the AD&D goldenrod ones (but that's larger/easier to read) with the AD&D Permanent Character Folder adventure record sheets. I really like the latter as a single-sheet PC sheet, but it lacks some of the important info like class/level and stats.
Both are available on Patrick Murphy's http://mad-irishman.net/ site. (I've also approached Patrick about this mash-up sheet idea so maybe we'll do that some year
).
BITD, I also built my own PC sheets on a typewriter, but there were more for permanent/higher-level PCs. I haven't spent time looking around for the masters, but IIRC it was ~6-ish pages long not counting the psionics or spellbook sheets.
Informationally, I like them from the POV of being comprehensive, but they would definitely need design/information architecture work put into them to make them more usable at a glance.
If there's interest, I'll see if I can dig them up.
Allan.

I like Murphy's sheets, I especially like that he has the goldenrod sheets essentially "all-in-one" so you can put it in Adobe and switch bits and pieces of it off to simplify them. I had completely forgotten about that; thank you for the reminder, Allan!
