I was in the middle of the right side of the table, the one that had to keep moving so you could draw the map.Steve wrote:Argh, another stealth forum member! Where were you sitting? Lots of people carried Bill's unconscious corpse I think.Mad_Mac wrote:It was my pleasure to drag your unconscious body around the dungeons of Castle Dreadmoor.capitalbill wrote:Back in the Isle of Dreadmoor again. Not technically dead, but the party is also lost after being teleported to a random room. My hit point progression went as follows: 17, 12, 8, 3, 0, 9, 4, 2, 0, 6, 0.
The best moment of the second Isle of Dreadmoor game was when the party finally managed to find the entrance to escape with their hard-won loot, only to decide to open "just one more door."
"Hey, it's near the entrance, what's the worst that could happen? If it's a monster we don't want to fight, we'll just dump Bill's unconscious body while we make a run for it."
The worst that could happen was they entered a room with something that had 20 random effects, one of which is to teleport the party to a random room in this maze of a dungeon. Yeah, you can guess which one they rolled!
Amazingly enough, when the group managed to (again) find the dungeon entrance, Bill actually walked out under his own power.
Seemed to me that you need to work on your schmoozing and employee hiring practices. Yelling at prospective employees was a bit counterproductive!EOTB wrote:OD&D hirelings need a union buster

Hey now, my cook was well compensated for his services rendered!Mad_Mac wrote:Hirelings had it rough tonight, between all the casualties and Bill's need for hours-long neck rubs from his "cook".

It took until nearly 1 o'clock in the morning! With only three battles! I must admit, there were some epic battles, especially the one where we sent an aerial servant into a purple worm to retrieve a comrade!Ratbreath wrote:We succeeded in escaping level 14 of Castle Greyhawk, and with only 1 permanent casualty!
That was a bit bloody! Most survived, but only barely. My highlight was having my magic user dimension door behind the Medusa and successfully throw a bag over her head.Ratbreath wrote:Also we succeeded in bringing back the soul gem from the Ghost Tower of Inverness.
In my defense, it was late and she was “beautiful” and “wearing only fine jewelry!”Mad_Mac wrote: Welleran kissing a random worm priestess was far from the only questionable thing that happened.
