Looks like I'll be bringing Henry to NTX this year, which will be his second time at the show (the first was a few years ago, on a Saturday only), but the first time that he'll be coming down for the entire convention.

He's very excited, and is planning to run a kids-only game too, if that can be worked out logistics-wise :D

Rich: I think we'll take a look at your 1st level pregens to see if Henry wants to use them vs. making our own up.

Henry's badge is bought, and his game is submitted:

Henry has his badge and submitted his kids-only AD&D 1e event for the show:

Exploring the Underground Mansion

A kids-only event, DM'd by Henry Grohe---a 10-year-old Dungeon Master. Explore the Underground Mansion, a level 1 dungeon created by Henry for kids who have rarely or never played AD&D 1st edition before, or who are veterans of many a campaign. Henry's dungeon is set in the World of Greyhawk on an uncharted island in the Nyr Dyv, the Lake of Unknown Depths. The players will explore an Underground Mansion inhabited by monsters, as well as a few humans and demi-humans---most are deadly, some perhaps friendly. Various traps, tricks, and other strange encounters will also surprise the players and their characters. The lucky will escape the Underground Mansion with good loot---but the unlucky may never return! Your dice will determine you fate!

If the players are unfamiliar with mapping, Henry will map the dungeon on the table's large battlemat. Henry will provide pre-generated first level characters, dice, miniatures, and all other materials required to play the game.

Thursday
2pm What depths Zenopus
79m Arden Vul

Friday
1pm Ghost Tower of Inverness
6pm Grodog's Castle Greyhawk

I'm a little worried about one ending right when the other begins. It seemed to be in a nearby room.

Saturday

1pm Keep on the Borderlands
7pm The Thing in the Valley

I was considering Isle of Dreadmoor for Wednesday but I've no experience with OD&D and that would be another day's stay at the hotel.

My schedule:

Wednesday
7p-12a Isle of Dreadmoor

Thursday
12p-6p Isle of Dreadmoor
6p-12a K&KA Social

Friday
6p-12a Purple Worm Graveyard

Saturday
12p-6p Isle of Dreadmoor

I had some issues loading Tabletop at 1 am Eastern, it probably didn't help that I was on my phone, so I missed out on two Saturday night games- Zenopus and Arden Vul. No worries, I know I'll find something that night.
Still searching for that walking treasure chest...

You'll be fine Ratbreath---the first 30-60 minutes in my games are background, PC selection, casters selecting spells, and non-casters building marching order. You're good!

Henry and I registered last night, and were both able to get tickets to Zach Howard's Return to Zenopus Tower on Friday night, so we're playing that together!

Here's Henry's schedule:

Thursday:
- 2-6pm What Depths Zenopus (DM Bill Barsh)

Friday:
- 9am-6pm Aliens - Reactor Room, Operations, Exapansion levels (GM Gary Oliver)

Saturday:
- 1-5pm Exploring the Underground Mansion (Henry's DMing his kids game then: https://tabletop.events/conventions/ntr ... hedule/458)

@flambeaux: will you and the clan be there on Saturday? Henry's might be a good family game option if some of your children would be interested in playing ;)

- 7pm-12am Return to the Tower of Zenopus (DM Zach Howard): Henry and I will be playing this one together! :D

Allan's schedule:
Thursday:
- Special Guest luncheon 11:30am-1:30pm - Jon and I will have to figure out if we're attending this or not
- DMing Castle Greyhawk 6pm-12am

Friday:
- DMing Castle Greyhawk 6pm-12am

Saturday:
- 7pm-12am Return to the Tower of Zenopus (DM Zach Howard): Henry and I will be playing this one together! :D

LOL! Been there once, long ago. No intention to visit or inflict it on my own kids. :D

Allan, I have at least 2 who'd be interested in Henry's game -- I'm not sure how to register them since they won't have Con badges.

Last night I signed up at exactly midnight for Stephan Pokorkny's Theatrical D&D for Fri Night and literally one second later (after I got my ticket in the cart fortunately) it said that the game was already full. Four spots went in less than one second. Fortunately since I had it in my cart already I was able to finish signing up for it. Some things disappeared quickly at midnight.

That's been the way of the Con since it started. But, historically, there were usually a few decent slots still open the following afternoon. So I'm not surprised things filled up fast.

Alas, what is open appears, for the most part, to be the kind of crap that has, IMO, no place at NTRPG Con (5e, Vampire, lots of other weird shit).

Maybe there are some hidden gems I'm not seeing but, for the most part, the schedule sucks.

I totally forgot about registering for tables last night, so don't feel bad. I'll come loaded for bear regarding off-grid gaming.

If anyone's stuck with empty slots or games they're not that excited about, I can run a more campaign-like game over the weekend
