Re: NTRPG Con X (2018)
Last year at NTRPG was my first convention and now I"m hooked. I'll be there Thursday thru Sunday. Can hardly wait!
I'd like to say thanks to all of you who work to make this such an awesome experience. Keep up the good work, please!

Anyone looking for a roommate?
Re: NTRPG Con X (2018)
So jealous I’m not attending! NTRPG Con’s the best - small and old school. It’s more like a gathering of friends than a convention.

I switched my game to Saturday evening at 7 PM (had no sign-ups yet) so I could play in Chris Holmes' "D&D in Pellucidar" game in the afternoon.Zenopus Archives wrote:I was expecting an email first (as they do with Gary Con), so I hadn't realized it was up there already. I scored the last pre-purchase ticket to that one. I also submitted my Forgotten Grottoes of the Sea Lords for Thursday morning 1000-1600.
I intend to run a pick-up game Wednesday night for anyone interested. Depending on the who's and what's of overlap, I will either run Sea Lords an extra time or another dungeon TBD.

Tried to reserve rooms for the con - the hotel says they aren't selling anymore rooms at the convention rate.
So I'm going to ask on the NTRPG forums if enough rooms were blocked out for the number of ticket holders (which I have), because it seems odd that this convention is capped but this big hotel doesn't have rooms at the rate.

Maybe Frank Mentzer got to the hotel management and convinced them to blackball you?

Haha! Maybe!
Luckily someone contacted me and offered up their room, so his nefarious plan is spoiled

I know Doug & Mike occasionally have to expand the block of rooms available. Maybe they ran out of the current block?

The room rate is supposed to be available until May 20th. I'd be interested if anyone else has any problems, and I know Doug and Mike would be interested to know as well.EOTB wrote:Tried to reserve rooms for the con - the hotel says they aren't selling anymore rooms at the convention rate.

EDIT: I have heard the issue with the hotel has been fixed. That being said, the problem could revisit, and if that's the case, please let it be known.

Re: NTRPG Con X (2018)
Hmmm...the event I submitted (Forgotten Grottoes of the Sea Lords for Thurs morning) was rejected and deleted. Anyone else have something like that happen?
Tabletop had the following:
03/21 20:09 Pending Review
03/28 23:02 Queued to be Scheduled
03/28 23:06 Declined to Schedule: This event has been deleted from the schedule.
I don't see any reason to submit additional games if they're just going to be rejected and deleted!
EDIT: Never mind -- the good folks at NTRPGCon merely delete and reenter submitted events to better control them. Mine is up for anyone interested!

Re: NTRPG Con X (2018)
I'd run that by Badmike and ask why. The only thing I can think of is that the rooms are all full for Thursday morning. If that's the case, you could re-submit for Friday or Saturday evening, and you'd probably get accepted. There's often a shortage during those times. I'm just guessing......Welleran wrote:Hmmm...the event I submitted (Forgotten Grottoes of the Sea Lords for Thurs morning) was rejected and deleted. Anyone else have something like that happen?

Never mind -- my event is up and live. It's just a result of switching around ownership of the actual event entry.
