Re: New Episode! Season 2 Episode 2: Revenge of the Minis!
Cool video, Bill.
One recommendation: when you're opening the minis and moving them around initially, do so on-camera. Perhaps you'd need to move the other mini off-screen to have enough room to show the opening process?
Also: your focus problems may be resolved by having a featureless background (no DD logo), so that the camera's not continuously focusing on the background where the opened packaging, 2nd blister, the logo, etc. are. Might be worth trying out?
You also truncated the very end of your "bye" as you were closing out the video.
I like the DD logo, so perhaps use that as your opening/closing credits instead of as a background? You could then embed the links to your blog, the G&M store, etc. in the video itself, vs. relying on folks to see them in the expanded description of the video (which many folks don't bother opening).
Definitely liking the series and focus, Bill. Thanks for sharing it!
Allan.

Yeah, the ending puzzled me, I think YT truncated that last second because I remember leaving it there.grodog wrote:Cool video, Bill.

Allan.
I gotta do something about the lighting and focus, tho, I agree.
Titles/credits (and a decent thumbnail) are also all things I wanna do.
Anyone want to be my show's technical producer

Don't be afraid to use stills instead of motion like you did with the B2 vid. You don't have to convince the camera to focus during narration, and as a side benefit, the video size gets smaller.
