Now it's UNDONE again. PHB isn't in the catalog anymore.

In fact, the only PoD 1e rulebook is the Monster Manual

I think they leased Goodman Games the reprint rights.

I didn't see any such beast on the GG website...so unless it's just something they've talked about somewhere else (social media, etc.) I'm not sure about that.

This is getting frustrating (again). The DM's Guild people say they don't know anything about the reissues/reprints (via email contact) and I have no idea who else to reach out to then.

This is what I was talking about. The PODs disappeared around the same time of this announcement, IIRC. It doesn’t mean they will in fact reprint the PHB.

Well here's hoping it's just another editing screw-up and it's not GG that's going to be handling everything from here on out. I'd like to be able to tell people they can purchase new PHBs, DMGs, etc.

The PHB and DMG are back, as well as a bunch of modules.

Has anybody got any of the PoD core books?

I wish they'd get their shit together on more of the classic modules. You know they'd sell (for example) Temple of Elemental Evil like fucking HOTCAKES if they put that on POD.

Also also, they list the level brackets on 1e AD&D modules as "tiers" (e.g., a 1st-3rd level module they advertise as "Tier 1", all the way up to "Tier 4" for 10-15th).

The selection of modules available for POD is very odd, and seems almost completely arbitrary. Lots of incomplete series (DL13 only? D2 but not D1 or D3? H2 and H4 but not H1 or H3?) and lots of the most obvious classics missing: B2, X1, T1-4, the complete GDQ series (they've got G2, G3, and D2), etc. Plus it's weird how they have the A0-4 and S1-4 compilations, and also have some but not all of them available as stand-alones (A1, A2, and A3 but not A4; S1 and S2 but not S3 or S4). The available selection of later-edition stuff looks to be just as random. It's almost like they're deliberately trying to sabotage the value and usefulness of this resource.

I think someone at the site said that they had no clue what would sell and would pick things out randomly until they figured out a trend. I can’t remember where I saw that and don’t know it that’s real or if someone was being facetious.

I don’t know enough about the technical aspects of the POD process. Can they use any of the .pdfs they already have? Or do they have to do something to the .pdfs to make them available for POD? If the latter something in that process might be determining what goes into POD. Quality of the scan. Available original to compare to. Or whatever.

I think that considering how much more sheer volume of 2e and 3e stuff there is and that it does seem pretty random, we’re fortunate that there’s as much 1e stuff as there is.
