Question: if I wanted to, um, crash NTXRPG Con this year, is it a feasible thing to do?

My stepson and his fiancee go to med school in the Dallas area. She also is a bat girl for the Rangers. Guess she has a game coming up on June 4th and my wife has an itch to watch her at the game. So she's thinking maybe we make a little run down to Texas that weekend...

Totally. ANGRYWIZARD has crashed it 2 or 3 times. You need to be a bit flexible; willing to make a bed on somebody's room floor out of the comforters & pillows, etc., if you're staying the night. You know enough of the DMs that I don't imagine you'd have trouble getting into some games. (I'll let you in mine. :D )

Thanks, Jimm and Keith! From what I understand, the kids live 8 minutes away from the venue so I'd just be crashing there.

My wife's logic is "hey, it would probably cost as much to take the print run of TTS #2 as a carry-on as it would to ship it". That woman is filled with good ideas.

Just checked flights. With both flying my son to and from L.A. as well as a trip to L.A. ourselves in the summer, it looks like it may not be in the cards this time around.

So I'm looking at this map:

http://www.westindallasfortworthairport ... ting-rooms

Where's boardroom 12 for the K&KA social?

It must be in a named room vs. a numbered one. We'll have to ping Badmike for the details, Jimm.

I think the board rooms are in the hotel tower. The meeting rooms are in the conference center along with the "ball rooms".

But, yes, pinging BadMike might be your best bet.

If we're at this location next year, I'm staying at the Red Roof Inn next door. It looks like stumbling distance and the room rates are less than 1/2 the Westin rates

YES!

Spent the day printing several dozen character sheets and numerous copies of the OD&D rule books; plus extra maps and combat stat sheets for the games I'm running (as well as the same in a special folder for my Co-DM-- the unassailable-- MR. STEVE R.-- at the Thurs. KNIGHTS & KNAVES ALEHOUSE Social).

Now drinking some beers and reading though all the upcoming scenarios I'm running.

Still need to buy Graham crackers & juice boxes for the Saturday AM Kids' D&D game, but YEAH!

LET'S DO THIS!!
