Wife's out of town for the month so I'm drowning my sorrows (and doing a lot of mini painting).

A whole month? Hopefully for positive reasons. I'll drink one with you, man.

Yes! She's working in the Shire (good) and staying at her parents so all is well, just a long time away (and the dog went with her!). It was long planned so I was just being dramatic. Speaking of being dramatic, now to watch a few Hammer films!!

Always fun to walk out of a brewery with a case of beer under your arm...

In addition to some Gose and Saison, had some Warlock and Pumking. Good stuff. Saw the Dogfish Head punkin ale on the shelves, but didn't pick any up. Next time (although it still feels like summer, here -- fall beer seems odd this early).

BBQ'd baby back ribs. Good stuff.

@capitalbill, I really dig how unapologetically pretentious that "Artisanal Ale" is packaged.

Oh, yeah. That brewery can be a little snooty, but with their lagered ale they basically brewed it to win an award. Imported all of the ingredients from France and Belgium.

On the other hand, the bottle for their tripel features an astronaut spacewalking out of a boat suspended from a balloon with a clown fish floating in the helmet. So, they can go the other way too.
