I told him hey for you.
I made out pretty well tonight. In exchange for two 32 oz cans of sour I can get pretty much any week, I got two pints of rum barrel aged ten fidy (which is 10.5% stout for those unfamiliar with Oscar Blues out of Asheville and Colorado), a snifter of Zombie Dust (a sweet pale ale from Three Floyd's out of Indiana), a pint of Wicked Weed's Silencio (black ale aged in bourbon barrels with coffee and vanilla out of Asheville) and a snifter of Pliny the Elder.

Fos do you know anywhere in SoCal selling PtE? I'm going to be in L.A. in a few weeks and am hoping to maybe grab a bottle or three. Hey, while I'm there maybe we can get together!

Love both the Zombie Dust and the 10 Fidy. 3 Floyds is just awesome. We are still considering hitting Dark Lord Day at the brewery, but it's a little pricy for a beer.

No place I go to consistently carries it in bottles. The Oaks Gourmet down the street from me gets about 5 bottles at a time once in a blue moon, with no apparently predictability. Possibly the other places do too but I don't go there as often so they always sell out before I see them. That said, a few places still have it on tap with some regularity - for instance, it looks like it's currently on tap at both the Blue Palms and Tony's Darts Away.

Maybe we'll swing by Blue Palms and check for it there. I love that place.

Wheggi, did you score some of the Zombie Dust I brought up to Gary Con this year? I can't recall if you did. I think we pretty much killed the case.

Unfortunately, no. However, I'm able to buy Zombie Dust locally on occasion, so I'm glad that people who don't live in the general area had a chance to try it.

Shoot, forgot to post this yesterday. Yesterday was National IPA Day.
And locally we're about to start seeing pumpkin beers coming out this week. Now I love pumpkin beer, but August? What's next, winter warmers in September?

I think this is beer related enough.
Got a bumper crop of hops this year it seems. They are mostly Cascade. I think there is a tiny big of Nugget (I think it's still alive).
We'll see how much I net after drying.

Hops...beer related? Yeah, I'm pretty sure you are safe to post these here.

Whole Foods and Vendome have it. Chances are it won't be stocked up front, so you'll have to say the "magic words" ( i.e. what's in the back?).

Kirin summer brews!
Pretty reasonable.
Yona, Yona was decent. The frog beer was very fruity, the cat beer less so.
