It's always shorts weather. That's all I'm bringing!
Holding at 9 degrees, and I just took the recyclable can down to the curb in my flip flops through the snow. Got back inside and checked my feet to make sure they don't look like Beck Weather's face...

See you then, Rich.
For those interested in Popeyes, I made a reservation for 15 at 630PM. Pulling up a few more chairs, if necessary, shouldn't be an issue based on what I have seen in prior years. Attempting to gather a group this large in the hotel lobby to leave might not be wise though, because sometimes people can get delayed and not be able to say and then everyone else is left waiting, so let's just plan on meeting over at the restaurant.

Is anyone still open on Thursday night? Or is there an off-grid gaming or drinking plan already shaping up that I could jump in on?

I'm open Thurs night (and Sat night). Interested in whatever we can throw together, even slamming some jager shots at that shithole across the street from the lodge.*
* Not really.

Some place warm, a place where the beer flows like wine, where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I’m talking about a little place called Gary Con VIII.

DM'd a bit of Wheggi's Seacliffs of Dispair module last night; it went well. The guys seemed to grok what makes it a different flavor of adventure than KotB, and since it was a table full of good players, things moved along pretty quickly.
Of course, it's big, so all the juiciest set pieces in the middle remain unexplored, but I think a lot of good play test notes were gained and also that the elements work at the table.
It's always fun to DM when every player is a good one.

Thanks so much for giving it a test drive, Steve. You did a great job behind the screen, and yes it was a very valuable test run, even if it only scratched the surface. All the guys at the table were great players who came up with creative solutions and had a lot of fun!

The bachelorette party? Man, how lit was I to not remember that?
I do remember one year it seemed like it was family night, everyone seemed to be bringing out their kids to watch the Blackhawks game. And then there we were, shots after shots.
Yeah, that was the year the bachelorette girls were flirting with Father Brian. We tried to tell them he was a bonafide Catholic Priest, but they didn't believe us. It was pretty funny! I think he is overseas these days, in Afghanistan, serving our troops.
AFAIK he is still overseas serving as a military chaplain (air force?). I can dig up his last known (to me) email address if you want.
