All they really need to hire is an arbiter of good taste. Then they can ban all the non-Gygaxian crap from the Con and reduce it back down to a manageable size.

Gary Con seems to have an unnecessarily gimmicky registration process. Gold pieces, silver pieces, shopping carts. Good gracious, it's a gaming con, not a Sam's Club. What NTRPG has going for it, is that it's a very straightforward process.

Now that the dust is (sort of) settled, I ended up with:

Thurs
0800-1400 Jutland (running it)
1800-2200 Light the Beacons

Fri
1000-1400 Sightless Sisters (running it)
1400-1800 Gorlim 3D OSRIC

Sat
1000-1400 Orcs Drift
1800-2000 <dinner at Medusa>
2000-2400 In For a Penny

Sun
0800-1400 Jutland (running it)

That leaves a lot of open gaming time, to be sure. I am going to beg Allan (really nicely, Allan) to get into at least one of his sold out games, but otherwise I'm just going to do more open gaming than I have in the past. I am up for running Sightless Sisters if anyone is interested and is not already in my regularly scheduled game (and I will accommodate any and all K&KA/LGLV walk-ups I can fit for that one).

Still a train wreck, still pisses me off, and still makes me wonder if I will even bother next year, but I will make the best of it and I know I will have fun regardless.

I'd love to jump into that extra Sightless Sisters game if possible! The scheduled one was in my cart, but got bumped out by the time the servers processed my attempt to check out.

We'll work something out. I'm only to happy to run a second session. We'll try to work a mutual time and see who else might be interested.

No begging required, Keith. I'm sure we can work something out!

C&D, you and I have almost the exact same schedule, except I'm not running a game. Uncanny!

More and more I'm feeing I don't want to attend a con, but a weekend-long game session with a dozen good friends and a bunch of booze and grub. And I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Somebody needs to inform him about all the good gaming he's gonna stumble into.

I'm pretty sure that is exactly what I've signed up for this year. And I've got a feeling that in future years it's going to be even more evident.

Sounds like we're starting to have the makings for one helluva marathon game!

Yeah looks like that's the plan at this point, lol, I'm going try for a couple of games once registration opens back up so we'll see what happens with that.

And yet for some reason, I still think you got the better deal, at least you didn't have all the crap to wade through to get that schedule. :D

I think Dave Prata's Friday 12-6 Hyperborea game may have an opening. Plus, he has saved room for two walk-ups, so maybe if you reach out to him on DF (DMPrata) you can reserve one. I'm in that game!
