I've always wanted to play this one, because I hear it's great, but every year there's something else that winds up taking priority.
I played this last year without a clue what it was -- at first. I will say no more to avoid spoilers...

I can say that all of Allan's Aliens games are gold! I also like to brag about being in the only group in a "Hunt the Queen" scenario to actually succeed. Good luck to all you Colonial Marines...you're going to need it!!!

The registration problems didn't impact me, phew! I double-booked Saturday at noon; I couldn't decide between the two games, and I had the SP left, so I grabbed both. (Whichever one I decide not to go to, I'll put the corresponding slip on the free event table as soon as I make the decision.) Have any of you played in one of Venger Satanis' or Jobe Bittman's games?
Thursday:
10am Aliens (grodog)
2pm Villains & Vigilantes - Falling Down With a Splash
6pm AS&S - The Yeti Want Our Women!
Friday:
10am AD&D - Descent into Vladikavkaz (Welleran)
(Between 2pm and 5:30pm I could run a pickup game, if my voice cooperates. Or play in one.)
6pm OD&D - Recall the Beginning: A Journey from Greyhawk (Stormberg)
Saturday:
12pm S&W - The Islands of Purple Haunted Putrescence
12pm Metamorphosis Alpha - Death Ziggurat in Zero-G
(5pm-7pm Auction)
(I may run a pickup game after the auction.)
Sunday:
10am Aliens (grodog)
12pm AD&D – B3.5 Palace of Queen Ehlissa (DMPrata)

I fully expect to die a quick and somewhat stupid death. Francisca knows my playing style.
Although I did actually survive my stint in his current Giants run. Nothing like being tossed around and floating above a chasm that is home to a white dragon.

In case anyone has an empty slot, my Witch Mounds game at 1000 Thursday now has an opening (it had been full previously).

I had planned on going to the con with my family but our plans have changed and I'll be flying solo.
Anyone interested in a room share?
I'm checking in Wednesday and checking out Monday.
It's a single king but I think all the rooms have a pullout sleeper/couch.

Does that mean "no spooning"?
I actually have a room with two beds, but the wife and kids might come down on the weekend because they are obviously in school Wed-Fri.

For those looking for a game Friday or Saturday night:
Friday Night 7 p.m. ish:
A3 War of the Slave Lords Playtest. Last year I ran the A1 playtest, and ran the A2 playtest at the North Texas RPG Con. A3 is the final module in my slaver sequel series. Like last year, each participant receives a playtest copy. These are numbered. Your name will be in the credits of the module.
Pre-gens provided. Will try and hold it in the restaurant area like last year - worked well.
Saturday night 7:30 p.m. ish (after auction):
Palace of the Vampire Queen: Crypts of the Living (playtest). Level one of the venerable PotVQ revised, expanded and loaded with TPK opportunities. Second level Pre-gens provided. Yes, you read that right; second level characters. Each participant receives a numbered, pre-production copy of the adventure. Your name will be in the credits of the module. I will grab a table in the restaurant.
Looking for 6-8 players for each. Shoot me an email to get on the list. I will put a blind email group together if I get enough people and send some updates as the convention approaches.
You can also come visit me at the Pacesetter booth just to confirm you will be attending.
