I'll be running Bottle City twice, but am waiting to submit them while coordinating some event schedules.

I submitted my two Castle Greyhawk - Bottle City events: Friday afternoon 2-7pm, and Saturday night 6pm-midnight. Here's the description:

==

Bottle City is a site for high adventure, where strange magic interweaves with nine trapped gods, demigods, and demons who vie for its control---but all are minikins, captive in the magical city in a bottle!

In 1974 Bottle City was one of the largest design projects Rob Kuntz undertook as the co-DM of the original Greyhawk campaign. Found on the second level of the Castle, it stupefied the Lake Geneva gamers---that is until they touched the bottle itself and were drawn into the city, where the fun really began.... Bottle City is a setting that will enthrall players as they seek to escape the deadly place they have unintentionally entered.

Bring your graph paper, dice, and a healthy dose of paranoid courage! 8th-12th level pregen PCs will be provided.

I'm going to shoot for the Bottle City session on Friday. I've always wanted to play that one!

Shit. I just pulled that out of storage to read.

Will be putting it back.

Also, I got word that my AS&SH adventure has been approved: http://garycon.com/eventdetails.php?eid=713

Also, noticed this in the description of Lost City of the Elders:
Rob Kuntz is bringing a truly Old School adventure to Gary Con V. Rob literally grew up gaming with the Gary Gygax. He was co-DM of Castle Greyhawk and had input on much in the earliest days of D&D. The Lost City of the Elders was first played in 1973 before TSR published the Brown Box D&D rules. This is a high level adventure for characters 12-14th level. No pre-gens are provided. Rob will approve all characters and magic items.
mmmm....don't think I've ever played in a BYOC game at a convention. May have to advance Knar the Frisch a couple levels. On the other hand, I wonder how many people will show up with just a M-U?

When I played in Rob's game back at NTRPG Con 2011, we coordinated online, ahead of time. Still took about 30-45 mins at the table to get started though as a couple of people hadn't coordinated, Rob had to check each character sheet regardless and several who thought they were ready had to rework things. Ultimately, Rob signed off on just about anything except all 18s, artifacts and obvious attempts to exploit.

Yeah, I've generally created a high-level PC on the spot for most of his games (that's what we did at NTX in his Dungeon of Death events---Jason and I were the 2 MUs in our team, IIRC). I'm pretty sure I do have the PC I created for his ERK adventure at LGGC#3 lying around somewhere, might be worth seeing if he's worth bringing along.

Well, given how Rob's adventures mostly focus on how well the players can read his mind and guess what he expects them to do next, character stats are mostly irrelevant. 8)

Allan, I noticed that your Bottle City event is 5 SP to register...it's the only non-VIP event above 3 SP, at least as of earlier today. Not sure why!

Hmmm: maybe I'm a quasi-VIP? More likely it's a typo ;)

The die is cast, I've sort of volunteered to GM a Circus Maximus prelim. We'll see what Luke says.

I guess francisca and I will be playing a lot of it at lunch in the coming weeks.
