My guess is the force behind the high HD monster non magical attack is able to overcome the magical protection. This seems to show brute natural force does in fact damage lycanthropes. Once again DM discretion is needed to determine if the boulder dropped on the werewolf is equal to a 4 HD monster.

I would rule the MU spell will go off on segment one of the next round. Initiative would still be rolled as the surprise segments are over assuming there are other members in the MU party.. As to last question I think DM would have to decide how rough the floor is for determining the effect on the charge.

I go with actions starting on the appropriate initiative roll. Maybe the guy in Axe's example slips and his sides losing roll on initiative reflects that. ( assuming this was the case)
